A New Era for French in Normandy

This year the award-winning French language school French in Normandy marks a new chapter in its journey with the retirement of its founder Eleri Maitland. After three successful decades, Eleri is now passing on the baton to the new owner, Malika Bezzou, with high hopes for the school's future.

Eleri Maitland, together with her late husband Tom, started the school in 1992. Thanks to their relentless dedication, French in Normandy has flourished, becoming a home away from home for countless international students eager to master the French language. In addition, Eleri's work in the international education industry has gained the great admiration and affection of her students, agents and global partners.

Malika has been part of this journey and has worked alongside Eleri for over 20 years so under Malika’s guidance, French in Normandy is sure to continue its tradition of excellence. Her philosophy is simple, yet powerful – to help students from all corners of the globe not only meet, but surpass their French language goals. Bringing her unique energy and profound commitment to student success, Malika is set to enrich the school with her expertise. Her holistic approach ensures that every aspect of student life, from academic achievement to well-being, is carefully nurtured. She is dedicated to making sure that every student's experience in Normandy transcends language learning, creating life-long memories and skills.

French in Normandy moves onto its next exciting chapter and sets itself new goals to reach new heights in Malika’s more than capable hands.

All the team would like to thanks Eleri for her invaluable dedication in the school for so  many years

Join us all in welcoming Malika Bezzou in this transition, as French in Normandy continues to build on a foundation of passion for language learning for many years to come.
